My background

Since I was a kid, I’ve always loved making things with my own hands. Creating and building has always given me a real sense of joy and satisfaction. I grew up in a very strong DIY environment, and I believe that’s what first sparked my path toward becoming a designer today.

I’m always designing something. Whether it’s websites, digital experiences, or stories for Dungeons & Dragons, I always seem to find something new to create.

Hobbies

Tennis

Tennis has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. My dad introduced me to the sport when I was really young, around 10 years old. I played until I was about 18, when I decided to step away and focus on the gym.

About eight years later, I came back to it, and it’s been a great experience. When I was younger, I struggled to stay focused and would often get frustrated and lose my temper on court. Nowadays, I have much more self-control and a different mindset.

Tennis has taught me a lot, and I carry that mentality into my daily life and work: stay calm, keep fighting, and never give up.

Dungeons & dragons

Playing Dungeons & Dragons is one of my favorite hobbies and easily one of the most fun. It has always been one of the best ways for me to explore creativity, imagination, and storytelling. I prepare as much as I can for each session, but my players always find new ways to push my imagination to the limit, and that’s what creates the best stories. I’ve been playing since I was 15 years old.

About five years ago, I got myself a resin 3D printer, and it opened a whole new world of possibilities. I started printing miniatures and painting them for my campaigns, which became a hobby inside the hobby.

Every session brings a new design challenge. I need to create encounters, build terrain, and prepare different story paths that grow together with the choices my players make. It almost feels like a second job, but one I’m always happy to do.

Guitar playing

I’ve been playing guitar since I was 13. I grew up listening to rock music, so guitar has always been a big part of my life. Today I own an Ibanez JEM, which is extra special to me because it’s the signature model of Steve Vai, one of my guitar heroes.

I also sing, though I’d say I’m much better with a guitar in my hands. Every now and then, I get together with some friends to jam and play for fun. Guitar has always been a great way to decompress for me. Once I start playing, I can fully focus on the instrument and lose track of time for hours.
